Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Review:-

In 2017 mid-ranger is the new flagship. This trend was started by One  Plus and is being followed by others providing flagship specs at a not so flagship price.Following this moto Samsung has launched its latest addition in its A line of smartphones,Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017).Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) comes equiped with a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED Display.14mn Exynos chipset,a body made out of metal/glass combo.A IP68 certification,a 16MP f/1.9 dual cameras. It sure sounds like Samsung’s next flagship, only Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is not a flagship but a mid-ranger smartphone.

This is the area where Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) can stand next up to the world of flagships.with the unibody metal/glass body to the naked eye in a glance its just like Samsung’s S7 edge. With a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED screen, corning Gorilla glass,Exynos 7880,an octa core processor, accompanied with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, with a fingerprint scanner and 3000 MaH battery makes Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) the killer flagship everyone is waiting for.

Do you people remember the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 that had a very exploding impact on samsung,ya that one.Incase you forgot the Note 7 introduced Samsung redesigned user interface called Grace UX .Samsung’s A series is the first to use that software in 2017 with Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) edition. And it is upgradable to android 7.0.It also comes with Samsung’s allways on display which smartly dims itself when the ambient light is low,it is also equipped with the famous pocket mode.

The fingerprint scanner like other Samsung devices is snappy and very fast and the user is able to register 5 fingers on Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017).Other pre-installed apps like gallery, media player etc are smooth and don’t seem to drag in our initial impression. The 3Gb of RAM is very well optimised and runs the device very well even after we open a load of apps.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with a 3000 MaH battery which in our opinion lasts easily up to a full working day on moderate use, whereas on heavy usage by gaming and other multimedia actions you will need to recharge your smartphone twice during the day.Inspite of the metal body design the smartphone does not heat up a lot, only after heavy gaming of about 30-40 minutes you feel the heat of the processor.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)’s primary camera is based on a 16MP sensor that sits behind 27mm equip lens with a f/1.9 apeature.Onfortunately this years Samsung Galaxy A5 does nit have optical stabilization which makes the video output of Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) not the best.Samsung still goes with the single LED flash unlike its competitors. The picture quality of Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is good also because of Samsung’s over saturated AMOLED display it gets even better.

  • Somewhat expensive than the competition
  • Still run on Marshmallow though update to 7.0 is coming
  • No 4k video recording at this price point
  • Single speaker

With the Galaxy A5 (2017) Samsung has tried to bring the A series to its A game and produced the best mid rage by the brand,it would be really interesting to see how it compets  with other mid range devices as Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced a little higher than its competitors.
